The gold medal victory of Team USA at the Olympic Games Paris 2024 was a monumental moment. It showed the world that the USA is still the basketball powerhouse it has always been. However, the road to the gold medal game was not easy. Team USA had to play three group-stage games before qualifying for the quarter-finals and the later rounds.

In their first group-stage match, they took on Puerto Rico, securing a 104-83 win. Their next challenge was South Sudan, who impressed everyone by matching the intensity of the LeBron James-led NBA team. At one moment, South Sudan made it seem like they could pull off an upset, but the NBA stars delivered when it mattered, clinching a 103-86 win in the final quarter.

In their last group stage game, Team USA faced Serbia with Nikola Jokic, the best player in the world on the opposing roster. LeBron James delivered an outstanding performance in this game. He scored 21 points, collected seven rounds and dished out nine assists.

The USA won the game 110-84 and advanced to the quarterfinals, beating Brazil 122-87. However, the semi-final was different, as the USA had their second faceoff against Serbia.

Nikola Jokic delivered his best performance that night, scoring 17 points, grabbing five rebounds, and providing 11 assists. Nonetheless, Stephen Curry's spectacular 36-point game led the Americans to a 95-91 victory.

In the final gold medal match, the USA faced off against France and their rising NBA star, Victor Wembanyama. Wemby and his team put forth an impressive battle, with the San Antonio Spurs player scoring 26 points, grabbing seven rebounds, and providing two assists.

However, LeBron James, Kevin Durant and Stephen Curry made sure to walk away with the gold around their necks. King James scored 14 points, KD netted 15 points and Curry stole the show with a 24-point performance to secure a 98-87 win for his nation.
