"Gonna watch it all night" - Josh Giddey keeps it 100% real on binge-watching halfcourt buzzer-beater over LeBron James

Josh Giddey launched an incredible Hail Mary from halfcourt to beat the buzzer as the Chicago Bulls edged the LA Lakers 119-117 at the United Center on Thursday. The Aussie point guard had the ball in his hands for the final possession and let it fly from the logo to bury a dagger into the Lakers.

An elated Giddey told reporters after the game that he would rewatch the tape of his buzzer-beater over LeBron James.

"As soon as it left my fingertips, it looked good. That's kind of why I held my follow-through the whole time. I had that feeling. It looked straight. It felt good. Special night. Comeback win. Gonna watch it all night. It was a hell of a team effort. We'll enjoy this one."

Giddey ended with his fifth triple-double of the season with 25 points, 14 rebounds, and 11 assists. Coby White had 26 points and nine assists.

"Let it fly with confidence": Josh Giddey reveals mindset while launching epic shot

Speaking to Bulls reporter KC Johnson after the win, Josh Giddey detailed his mindset going into the final shot.

Per Fox Sports:

"I let it fly with confidence. I missed two before that, but let that third one go with confidence and nothing but net. What a way to come back. I’ve made a couple of layups to put us up with a couple of seconds left, but a walk-off like that from halfcourt, I’ve never done that before. I don’t know if I’ll ever do it again, but I’ll take this one tonight.”

The game also saw Giddey enter the record books by joining six-time NBA champ Michael Jordan as the only Bulls player to record five-plus triple-doubles in a single season.
