"Good looks" - Bronny James shares LeBron James appreciation post on Father's Day
Bronny James celebrated Father's Day with an appreciation post for LeBron James on social media. The father-son duo is preparing for a busy offseason with Bronny getting ready for the NBA draft, while LeBron will be participating in the 2024 Paris Olympics.
In a post on his Instagram stories, Bronny shared a photo of himself with his father in the gym shooting hoops. He added a heart and praying hands emoticons, possibly celebrating his love for his 39-year-old dad.
The 19-year-old guard also captioned the post:
"Good looks."
Bronny James has less than two weeks to wait before the 2024 NBA draft. James is a projected second-round pick and has been linked to teams such as LA Lakers, Utah Jazz, Phoenix Suns and Dallas Mavericks over the past few weeks. He has already worked out with the Lakers and Suns.
Bryce James also greets LeBron James on Father's Day
Bronny James was not the only son to greet LeBron James a Happy Father's Day. His second son, Bryce James, also did the same on Instagram. Bryce showed a lot of love to LeBron on his special holiday. He shared an image of his father supporting him during his high school basketball game for Sierra Canyon.
Bryce wrote:
"Happy Father's Day dad. love you."
Bryce James is currently in his junior season in high school and is in his second stint with Sierra Canyon. James previously transferred to Campbell Hall School and Notre Dame High School before moving back to Sierra Canyon last November.
Bronny James compared to Austin Rivers ahead of NBA draft
In an interview with HoopsHype, an anonymous scout gave his take on Bronny James' prospects of making it to the NBA. The scout compared him to Austin Rivers, the son of Doc Rivers, who was an 11-year veteran journeyman despite being the 10th overall pick in 2012.
"I think Bronny will go in the draft because of who he is, and some team will really think LeBron will come if they draft him. If the Lakers keep their pick, they won't pass on him. He's a decent player, he's better than some guys who may get picked ahead of him.
"He's solid, not spectacular. He knows how to play, he can handle the ball well enough. If you leave him alone, he'll drill a three. He reminds me of Austin Rivers as a player, and he's stayed in the league for over a decade," the scout said.
The LA Lakers are the likely team to pick Bronny James, which would help LeBron fulfill his dream of becoming the first father-son duo to play in the NBA.
