'Goosebumps' hitmaker Travis Scott once filmed a music video at $15 million Michael Jordan mansion in Highland Park
This week, Michael Jordan's Highland Park mansion in the Chicago suburbs, which had been on the market for 12 years, reportedly found a buyer.
For years, the mansion had been something of a running joke in the Chicagoland area, with residents wondering whether anyone would ever purchase the massive estate. Now, according to TMZ, the home is set to sell for $14.8 million.
While the home had been on the market for over a decade, back in 2020, rapper Travis Scott filmed a music video for his song "FRANCHISE" at the home.
Using footage from Michael Jordan's famous NBA documentary The Last Dance, Scott's music video then takes fans on a journey to Highland Park and the No. 23 gates. At the time, the home had been on the market for years, and had already had its price reduced from the original $29 million listing price.
The music video, which came four years after Scott released the hit song "Goosebumps," also featured popular rapper Young Thug and M.I.A. Given that Scott had been working with Michael Jordan's Jordan Brand since 2017, he was given permission to film the music video at MJ's old house.

Looking at the details of Michael Jordan's luxury mansion that reportedly finally found a buyer this week
After initially being listed for $29 million at the time it was put on the market in 2012, the 32,000-square-foot house comes complete with top-of-the-line amenities.
The original listing describes the property as:
"As legendary as His Airness himself. The 56,000 square foot property, equipped with every conceivable luxury amenity, is a physical monument to his tireless dedication and hard work."
"The custom-designed property includes a regulation-sized basketball gymnasium, circular infinity pool, putting green, tennis court, and cigar room, each with Jordan's signature touch."
With nine bedrooms, 19 bathrooms, and plenty more amenities not listed, such as the cigar lounge complete with a state-of-the-art air filtration system, many fans have wondered why it took so long for Jordan's home to sell.
One of the biggest hurdles to a sale had reportedly been the fact that so much of the home was custom-designed with Jordan in mind. From Chicago color schemes to logos and branding, countless details throughout the home had been catered to Jordan, something that would cost buyers quite a bit to redesign and redecorate.
In addition, according to NBC 5 Chicago, the property taxes on the home cost $148,000 annually, a major hurdle to buyers. Given that, Michael Jordan wound up knocking down the price incrementally over the years up until 2015, when the listing price was changed to $14.855 million.
Although it's unclear whether the new owner purchased the home at that price, or a lower amount, it sounds as though the famous mansion is now finally off the market.
