Hailey Van Lith stats last night: How many points did TCU star score against Texas State?

Hailey Van Lith once again delivered in TCU's 90-31 blowout win against Texas State on Wednesday at Fort Worth. The senior guard had another all-around game against the Bobcats, contributing 17 points, six rebounds, nine assists and two steals in 36 minutes.

Van Lith's near triple-double performance was a key factor in the victory as the Horned Frogs recorded their largest win margin in program history.

In the first quarter, the 5-foot-7 guard had five points, two rebounds, two assists and a steal to put the Horned Frogs in a 21-9 advantage. Despite missing her next four shots in the second quarter, Van Lith finished with six points in TCU's 46-18 output in the first half.

Van Lith added four assists and two rebounds before shooting a last-second layup to close the third quarter. She added four more points in the fourth quarter.

Hailey Van Lith is only 13 points away from reaching the 2,000-point mark in her career, a milestone achieved by only five active Division I players. She set a personal best with nine assists and has tallied at least five assists in 25 games. The game is also the 48th time she has led her team in scoring.

Hailey Van Lith hopes to end college career with TCU on a high note

Hailey Van Lith has made a name for herself since her teenage years at Cashmere High School, both as a guard on the court and as a shortstop in her softball team.

After playing three years with Louisville, the dynamic point guard transferred to LSU, joining Angel Reese, Flau'jae Johnson, Aneesah Morrow and Mikaylah Williams.

However, Van Lith saw a drop in her on-court production, tallying only 11.6 points, 2.4 rebounds, 3.6 assists and 1.3 steals in 33 games. The Tigers made it to the Elite Eight, eventually folding to tournament runner-up Iowa Hawkeyes.

Now sporting a new jersey in Fort Worth, Van Lith and Co. maintain a flawless record to start the season, with TCU (3-0) holding the second spot (tied with seven other teams) in the Big 12 conference.
