Former NBA player believes Devin Booker isn’t talked about enough for carrying Suns: “He doesn’t get talked about like the Luka or the Ja”

Devin Booker and the Phoenix Suns are starting to catch fire once again. And former NBA veteran Chandler Parsons believes that Booker deserves more attention for what he's been doing lately.

Phoenix (14-6), in first place in the Western Conference, is in the middle of a five-game winning streak and has won seven of its last 10 games.

What's been the most impressive aspect about the Suns recent performance is how they are doing it. The Suns have been without a number of key players. Star point guard Chris Paul has been inactive for the last 10 games. Cameron Johnson has also been sidelined since Nov. 5. Despite the missing pieces, Phoenix has started to play like the contender most expected.

That's all thanks to their superstar guard Devin Booker, who has been sensational. In his last 10 games, Booker is averaging 28.7 points, 6.5 rebounds and 6.4 assists per game while shooting 45.8%. Appearing on "FanDuel TV," former NBA player Chandler Parsons believes Booker needs more praise for how he's playing.

“Devin Booker has taken his game to the next level," Parsons said. "The guy was first team All-NBA last year, and he’s even better now.
"He doesn't get talked about like the Lukas (Doncic) or the Ja (Morant) does."

“Devin Booker has taken his game to the next level - the guy was first team All NBA last year and he’s even better now…”

The Phoenix Suns looked to be in hot water after injuries sidelined Chris Paul and Cameron Johnson. But then a number of key players stepped up their games.

Devin Booker has been one of basketball's top wings. His performance on the court has continued to be underappreciated over the years. With the Suns lacking depth, Booker has taken over to carry his team.

During the team's five-game winning streak, Booker has averaged 27.4 ppg, 7.0 rpg and 4.8 apg. He's also shooting 44.2% from the field and 83.9% from the free-throw line.

Incredible the Suns are so good without CP3, Johnson, or Crowder. Devin Booker is playing the best basketball of his life, Deandre Ayton and Mikal Bridges are better too, tons of other guys playing with an edge. Major bubble/Finals run energy in Phoenix.

Booker isn't alone when it comes to playing at a high level. During the Suns' winning streak, big man Deandre Ayton has taken his game to another platform. In his last five games, Ayton is averaging 20.2 ppg, 14.2 rpg and 2.2 apg game while shooting 69.4%.

Phoenix continues to impress while a number of players find themselves on the sidelines. After Monday night's 122-117 win against the Sacramento Kings, the Suns will get ready to face the Chicago Bulls (9-11) on Wednesday night. If Phoenix can keep up this type of play, it shouldn't take long for Booker to get the attention he deserves.
