Victor Wembanyama seemingly trash talks Rockets star after sinking 3-point dagger

A leaked audio of San Antonio Spurs star Victor Wembanyama talking trash to Houston Rockets center Alperen Sengun has surfaced online. Footage of Wemby sizing up the Rockets center and making a 3-pointer over him was posted on X.

The Spurs hosted the Rockets on Monday but failed to protect their homecourt, losing 106-101. Wemby had a decent outing against Houston as he dominated the boards. The Frenchman had 14 points, 20 rebounds and five assists. Defensively, he was stellar with four rejections.

The center had five attempts from beyond the arc, but only made one the entire game. After his one downtown shot, he demonstrated to the crowd that not even Sengun could stop him.

"He can't f**k with me," Wemby said after he made the shot.

Even with the energy from the Spurs center, Sengun and the Rockets had the last laugh. The Turkish center played well against Wemby with 12 points, 12 rebounds and five assists.

Victor Wembanyama made history in their game against the Rockets

Although the Spurs lost on Monday, it's still worth noting that Victor Wembanyama made history after the game. The French star had 20 rebounds and five assists, making him the fourth player in franchise history to post such numbers.

He joined David Robinson, Tim Duncan and Dennis Rodman as the only players for the San Antonio team to achieve such a feat.

This season, the Spurs have played the Rockets twice and have lost both matches. Their next game against each other will be on Nov. 6, with San Antonio traveling to Houston looking for a win in their season series.

How has Victor Wembanyama played this season?

Wemby had a strong start to his sophomore season. In their season opener against the Dallas Mavericks, he posted 17 points and nine rebounds. The Spurs star also had an assist and a block in his first game.

The 7-foot-3 center then went on to score 29 points, pull down seven rebounds, and block three shots.

While the big man has played well to start the season, he has shown signs of struggle offensively. The big man has attempted 18 shots from beyond the arc but only made four. So far this season, the big man has shot 22.2% from beyond the arc.

His efficiency on the floor hasn't been the best. He only made 27.8% of his field goals in the season opener, going 5-for-18. So far this season, he's averaged 20.0 points, 12.0 rebounds and 2.3 assists.

The Spurs will take on the OKC Thunder on Wednesday. With a showdown against Chet Holmgren, making the most of his chances on the floor is critical and will play a significant part in their offense.
