"He is iconic" - Paul George reveals his dream non-NBA guest on podcast after his newfound love for Golf

Paul George and his show ‘Podcast P with Paul George’ has seen a lot of guests since it was launched in 2023. One of the reasons that PG’s podcast has been so popular is because of the diversity of guests on his show. Now, the LA Clippers star has a non-NBA icon in his dream guest list.

Paul George is Boardroom’s June Cover Star. He sat with Boardroom to discuss the success of his podcast since the last year. Apart from his love for the podcast, PG has also developed a new love for golf. He said that he would want to bring golf GOAT Tiger Woods on his podcast one day.

“I would love to sit and have Tiger Woods come in. I recently got into golf, I love golfing now and so will definitely love to just have a conversation with him you know because he is iconic. He’s been through a lot, he’s seen a lot. There’s far more ups and downs and I think that should be celebrated and highlighted,” the Clippers star said.

There were other sports and no-sports icons including Michael Jordan, Magic Johnson, Kevin Hart, Dwyane Johnson, and others that George said he wanted to bring on his podcast.

So far, PG has been able to attract some big names on his podcast including late great Jerry West. He has also given a platform to college women's basketball players and invited players from the WNBA including A’Ja Wilson.

Paul George credits Draymond Green for the best advice regarding his podcast

Draymond Green might have started his NBA career two years later than Paul George but he holds seniority over the Clippers star when it comes to having a media career. When George started his podcast last year, Green gave him great advice.

In conversation with Boardroom, George said that just after he had shot a few episodes, Green gave him great advice that he is still registered in his mind.

“The best advice since I have been you know podcasting is came from Draymond. After the first couple of episodes, we shot, what he told me was ‘Just be consistent you know regardless of how you gotta do it, you know you gotta be consistent, that what the fans and the followers want most is just being consistent at a certain time and every week.’ That really registered with me.”

Green has his own podcast "The Draymond Green Show" that he launched in 2022. Both Green's and George's respective podcasts recently made it to the top 10 list of Complex. Green's podcast was ranked at No. 4 among the top NBA podcasts.

It was Paul George's "Podcast P With Paul George" that topped the list, leaving JJ Redick's "Old Man and The Three" to the second spot.
