"He really like that on Duty" - LeBron James thrilled to find Bronny James' $10,000 win in Summer League Call of Duty tournament

LeBron James might be busy with Team USA in preparation for the 2024 Paris Olympics, but he keeps up with what's happening in the Summer League. James was pretty pumped up when his son Bronny won $10,000 after winning the Summer League Call of Duty tournament.

In a post on his official Instagram stories, "King James" shared an image of Bronny playing the popular video game. The rookie defeated Charlotte Hornets forward Grant Williams and Detroit Pistons rookie Bobi Kintman in the final to win the cash prize.

"Ayyyeeeee!!! He really like that on that Duty," LeBron wrote.

Bronny James joins Jalen Williams of the OKC Thunder, who won last year's Call of Duty tournament at the Las Vegas Summer League. This year's Call of Duty game played at the tournament was "Call of Duty: Modern Warfare III."

The LA Lakers guard had a total of 84 points in the final, which was a two-minute drill contest against Grant Williams and Bobi Kintman. In addition to the $10,000 cash prize, Bronny also took home a custom Call of Duty championship belt that he showed off on social media.

While Bronny is a Call of Duty gamer, his father LeBron James is a Madden guy. The four-time NBA champ recently became a Top 1000 player of the popular American football game, according to LA Lakers teammate Anthony Davis.

"It made him to the point where he was like, 'I'm locking back in. When I say he locked back in, from that time in the bubble till right now, I think now he's maybe top 1000 in the world now. I know, late in the season, he told us he beat the 164th-best player in the world, I think," Davis said on the 'Join the Lobby' podcast. [H/T Complex]

Former NBA player says no one wants to play with LeBron James

The LA Lakers struck out in free agency, failing to sign any big-name players despite LeBron James' effort to take a pay cut. The Lakers have turned their attention on the trade market although they don't have a lot of assets to offer to opposing teams.

In an interview with OutKick's Dan Dakich, former NBA player Enes Freedom explained why no top free agents signed with the Lakers. Freedom claimed that no player wants to play with "King James."

"No other player wants to go play with LeBron. You had so many other free agents. … No one wanted to go play with him, because they know that it's all about LeBron. They're gonna get zero clout. … When the Lakers' season fails, LeBron tries to find a player to blame, and he blamed the whole season on Russell Westbrook, so he is not a good teammate. Obviously, he runs the media, and he tries to control this narrative, but when you actually know and have a conversation inside of the NBA and its players, nobody wants to play with him," Freedom said.
