"He walks into our locker room" - 9x All-Star once shared Michael Jordan’s epic pregame threat before torching rivals with 60-point game

Former NBA star Dominique Wilkins recalled how Michael Jordan once gave one of his teammates a warning before they played against each other. In Wilkins' story, the nine-time All-Star talked about how the Chicago Bulls star visited the Atlanta Hawks' locker room before the start of their game.

Jordan was extremely competitive and talked trash to his opponents whenever he could. During his time in the NBA, countless stories of how he would talk to his opponents before the game were shared. Wilkins' story is no different as the Bulls legend knew that he'd put on a scoring masterpiece in front of a crowd.

Back in the 1986-87 season, the Hawks played against the Bulls during the regular season and Jordan was unstoppable. While he warned the player assigned to guard him, Randy Wittman, he still had an offensively dominant performance.

"I will never forget this, I never had a player do this," Wilkins shared. "Jordan walks into our locker room, suit and tie, I'm like, 'What the hell is he doing in our locker room?'"
"So he walks by me, he walks by Kevin [Willis] and gets to Randy Wittman and said, 'Lace 'em up, it's gonna be a long night.' He had 60 [points] that night."

Jordan ended the night with 61 points, 10 rebounds, and four steals. Despite his efforts, however, the Bulls lost that night, 117-114, as the Hawks still got the regular season win. MJ was the only player who scored at least 20 points for Chicago.

The second-highest scorer that night was Charles Oakley, as he had 19 points. This was the time when Jordan didn't have significant help on both ends and would do most of the heavy lifting himself.
