The LA Lakers defeated the Houston Rockets 104-98 on Monday at Crypto.com Arena in Los Angeles, California.

Luka Doncic finished with 20 points, nine assists and six rebounds on 6-for-16 shooting. LA won its second consecutive game and has strengthened its grip on the No. 4 spot in the Western Conference. They moved two games ahead of the fifth-seeded Memphis Grizzlies (44-31), who lost to the Boston Celtics on Monday. The Lakers (46-29) are one game behind the third-placed Denver Nuggets (47-28).

On the other hand, Houston's three-game winning run was halted. Coming into the game, they had won 12 of their last 13. The Rockets (49-27) have a one-and-a-half-game lead over the Nuggets and are up two and a half games over the Lakers.
