"How the cookie crumbles" - Draymond Green continues to call out Rudy Gobert after DPOY allegedly 'dodges' Nikola Jokic on defense

The defensive performance by the Minnesota Timberwolves anchored by Rudy Gobert has not impressed Draymond Green. To be more specific, the Golden State Warriors forward continues to criticize the four-time Defensive Player of the Year winner, especially in their playoff series against the Denver Nuggets.

In Game 6, the Wolves had a great outing as they hounded the defending champions on the defensive end. Thanks to this strategy, they've forced a Game 7 for a chance to advance to the next round.

Even with that, Green has not been impressed by how the Frenchman has performed on that end of the floor. In a clip from his podcast, "The Draymond Green Show," the four-time champion had something to say about the two-way center.

"We sitting here breaking down KAT having to stop Joker," Green said. "Who's a center and a defensive player of the year is on your team and he a center? Very interesting how the cookie crumbles.
"I can't help but notice there’s a center who won DPOY and we asking KAT to go guard the center."

Towns has never been known for his defensive skills. It is strange to see that the Wolves put him on the three-time MVP. But that strategy has worked well for them, especially in the first two games of the series.

Green has never been fond of how Gobert plays and criticizes him often. During the early months of the 2023-24 season, fans saw how the Warriors forward was not a big fan of the Wolves center. He put the 7-foot-1 center in a rear chokehold during an altercation between Klay Thompson and Jaden McDaniels.

His actions caused him to be suspended for five games.

The history between Draymond Green and Rudy Gobert

In the NBA, there have been quite a few quarrels between players. For Draymond Green and Rudy Gobert, it has something to do more about being defenders in the league. Back in 2019, Gobert cried in front of the media as he wasn't named an All-Star. Green wasn't part of that team as well but fired the first shot when he tweeted about crying to be an All-Star.

During the 2021-22 season, it was the same case for Green as he didn't make the All-Star team. But he reminded everyone of how the Frenchman cried and bragged about not shedding tears when he wasn't named part of the team. Gobert fired back on social media and threw shade at the Warriors forward for being insecure.

In his first season with the Wolves, Gobert was seen in an altercation with teammate Kyle Anderson. Green took the chance and posted the same tweet about insecurity, which was a shot at the center.

The events following that were the altercation that happened early this season and the continuous jab from Green in this postseason.
