How has Kyrie Irving's stats changed as he switched teams from Cleveland Cavaliers to Brooklyn Nets?

Kyrie Irving has spent his career with the Cleveland Cavaliers, Boston Celtics, and now the Brooklyn Nets. While he's always been a great competitor, it would be tough to argue that Kyrie Irving's stats weren't a bit better when he was playing with the Cavaliers because of what he did as a facilitator as well.

Irving continues to put up big numbers everywhere he goes, but that's just a testimony to how good of a scorer he truly is in multiple different ways.

Kyrie Irving's stats saw him averaging about 20 points per game with the Cleveland Cavaliers up until the 2016 season, where he ended up averaging 25.2 points per game. Not only did he have a great year with Cleveland, but he also won a championship with the city.

Kyrie Irving did speak a bit about what it meant to him to win an NBA title with the Cleveland Cavaliers, posing some interesting questions.

"It was like climbing up one of the tallest mountains in the world, winning a championship. And when I got up there, and you realize that all the accolades and all the achievements, yeah, it feels good, it feels great to add that to the career. But I felt empty – after I done traveled, after I done partied, after I done spent a bunch of money, after I done asked for more deals, after.

He continued:

We all been through it. So, feeling on top of that mountain, man, after a while, I just felt like I didn’t really know who I was. I didn’t know what my future was going to be."

How did Kyrie Irving’s stats look with Boston Celtics?

Kyrie then requested a trade and ended up with the Boston Celtics, but only spent two years there as he dealt with some controversy. During his two years in Boston, he averaged 24.4 points in his first season and 23.8 in his second.

However, there was a lot more to Kyrie Irving's decision to leave the Boston Celtics. The fans' treatment of him was inexcusable, and it drove him to refuse to play for the city any longer.

“Look, where I’m from, I’m used to all these antics and people being close nearby,” Irving said.
“It’s nothing new when I come into this building what it’s going to be like — but it’s the same energy they have for me, I’m going to have the same energy for them"

He continued:

“And it’s not every fan, I don’t want to attack every fan, every Boston fan. When people start yelling ‘p---y’ or ‘b----’ and ‘f--- you’ and all this stuff, there’s only but so much you take as a competitor. We’re the ones expected to be docile and be humble, take a humble approach, f--- that, it’s the playoffs. This is what it is,” Irving added

Now with the Brooklyn Nets, Kyrie Irving's stats are some of the best in his basketball career as he's averaged at least 26 points per season in each of the last four years.
