How many points did James Harden score tonight against Denver Nuggets? (April 21)
James Harden overcame a sluggish start to guide the LA Clippers to a narrow win in Game 2 of the 2025 NBA playoffs on Monday.
The Clippers guard was 1-5 from the field, including 0-3 from deep at one stage in the second quarter at the Ball Arena. Harden had two points, one rebound, three assists, and one block as the Clippers looked to bounce back after losing Game 1.
It was a better second half for the guard as he ended with 18 points, coupled with three rebounds, seven assists, one steal, and two blocks. Harden's defense was one of the highlights of the evening as he managed to clamp down with the Nuggets free-flowing offense.
The former MVP came into the game averaging 22.8 points on 41.0% shooting from the field, including 31.5% from deep, 5.8 rebounds, and 6.7 assists in the regular season.
Quentin Grimes has high praise for James Harden ahead of Game 2 matchup
Earlier, James Harden was praised by Philadelphia 76ers guard Quentin Grimes. On 'The Young Man and the Three,' Grimes recalled what it was like playing pickup games when Harden was with the Houston Rockets.
"Just being one of those one-on-one players, I mean, I don’t know it’s a rhythm, but it’s not a rhythm kind of the way he dribbles and he’s left-handed. The side step is different. So, just watching--even guarding him is tough because if he jumps forward with a shot, you can’t contest crazy, they are gonna call it. He’s James Harden."
Much now depends on Harden and Kawhi Leonard as the action shifts to the Intuit Dome in LA, where the Clippers host Games 3 and 4. 'The Beard' has been solid at home and it remains to be seen if he can replicate his regular season success in the remaining games.
