How many points did Nikola Jokic score tonight against LA Clippers? (April 21)

Nikola Jokic's 26-point triple-double went in vain as the LA Clippers edged out the Denver Nuggets 105-102 in Game 2 of their first-round playoff series on Monday.

Jokic started proceedings with a three, but did not heat up until later in the game as the Denver Nuggets trailed 55-52 at halftime.

He had five points as the second quarter wound down, coupled with three rebounds, four assists, and two steals at halftime. Jokic regrouped and ended the game with 26 points, 12 rebounds, 10 assists, and three steals. He shot 8-16 from the field, including 4-8 from the 3-point line.

Jokic's TD3 also saw ample support from Jamal Murray's 23 points, two rebounds, six assists, two steals, one block, and one steal. Michael Porter Jr. helped himself to a double-double with 15 points and as many rebounds. Jokic appeared to be off rhythm for a major part of the game despite propping up the points as the Clippers played more pesky defense.

The three-time NBA MVP came into the game averaging rock-solid numbers. He averaged 29.6 points on 57.6% shooting from the field, including 41.7% from deep, 12.7 rebounds, and 10.2 assists in the regular season.

NBA analyst labels Nikola Jokic's TD3 game 'super weird'

NBA analyst Kevin O'Connor called it a 'super weird' game for Jokic.

"Missed free throws, sloppy turnovers, that strange shot where he thought the clock was running out," he wrote on X. "Uncharacteristic moments."

Nikola Jokic's struggles were evident, but the big man continued to be a force on both ends of the floor in a game where there were more than a few erratic plays. The Nuggets will hope that their star bounces back in the next couple of games at the Intuit Dome.
