How many points did Nikola Jokic score tonight against the LA Clippers? (April 24)
Nikola Jokic's 23-point triple-double was in vain as the LA Clippers notched up a 117-83 blowout win in Game 3 on Thursday. The Denver Nuggets were outplayed on both ends of the floor at the Intuit Dome and trail the 2025 NBA playoffs first-round series 2-1.
Jokic started slowly in the first half, ending with nine points, six rebounds, eight assists, and one steal as the Nuggets trailed LA 65-47. He heated up in the second half, shooting 9-14 from the field and 2-3 from deep to end with 23 points. The offense was an issue for the Nuggets as they only had Jamal Murray and Aaron Gordon assisting Jokic with 23 and 15 points, respectively.
Nikola Jokic came into the game on the back of a 26-point double-double studded with 11 rebounds and 10 assists. He is averaging 29.6 points, 12.7 rebounds, and 10.2 assists this season. The Nuggets will play Game 4 at the same arena on Saturday (Apr. 26).
Steve Nash weighs in on Nikola Jokic's meteoric rise
Former NBA icon Steve Nash weighed in on Nikola Jokic's scintillating run in the NBA over the last few seasons. On 'The Young Man and the Three' podcast, he said:
"If this guy does this for another 5 years, like we're talking— he's on Mount Rushmore."
Jokic has been a key cog in the Nuggets lineup. The three-time NBA MVP has propped up video game numbers this season, and the Nuggets made the postseason largely thanks to his stellar output every game. Only time will tell if he can dish out a string of big performances to get past the Clippers.
