Anthony Edwards and Karl-Anthony Towns prove they can lead the Minnesota Timberwolves to deep playoff runs

After 20 years of not making the Western Conference finals, the duo of Karl-Towns and Edwards rallied the Wolves to one of their most notable wins.

The Minnesota Timberwolves, propelled by 23 points apiece from Karl-Anthony Towns and Jaden McDaniels, have secured a spot in the Western Conference finals for the first time in precisely two decades. Their next challenge is against the Dallas Mavericks, with the series commencing Wednesday night at the Target Center.

With Murray's stellar performance igniting the Denver Nuggets, they surged to a commanding 53-38 halftime lead. Murray's precision from beyond the arc, punctuated by a 3-pointer with 10:50 remaining in the third quarter, extended Denver's advantage to 58-38.

The Minnesota Timberwolves, renowned for their formidable defense, staged a remarkable comeback, though. They orchestrated a relentless 28-9 surge to narrow the deficit to 67-66 as the third quarter drew to a close.

Rudy Gobert's pivotal bucket at the onset of the fourth quarter propelled the Timberwolves into the lead for the first time since the opening quarter. Despite Karl-Anthony Towns encountering foul trouble, Naz Reid, honored as the NBA's Sixth Man of the Year, showcased brilliance at both ends of the court to help maintain Minnesota's edge.

During a crucial sequence, with the Timberwolves ahead 85-82, Reid's clutch free throws and emphatic dunk, followed by a pivotal assist to Anthony Edwards for a momentum-shifting 3-pointer, extended Minnesota's lead to 92-82 with three minutes remaining, a deficit that eventually proved insurmountable for the Nuggets.
