Before Thursday's NBA trade deadline, there was numerous talk about teams needing to move certain players to improve their roster. Guys like Russell Westbrook and Kyrie Irving were both expected to be moved. However, there were still some teams that needed serious changes to give them a shot at being serious title contenders.
Here are two teams that needed to make a move but failed to execute before that time ran out.
Miami Heat
The Miami Heat have been a mediocre team this season. They've struggled to make an impact, which caused them to seriously consider trading Kyle Lowry at the trade deadline. The six-time All-Star hasn't been impressive this season. Lowry was involved in some trade talks, but the team never pulled the trigger.

Chicago Bulls
Many expected the Chicago Bulls to make a trade happen centered around Zach LaVine. However, they failed to make it happen. According to reports, the New York Knicks were the team that was in constant communication with the Bulls in regards to acquiring LaVine.
