"I am deceased": Dwyane Wade's wife Gabrielle Union and daughter Kaavia vibe to Kendrick Lamar's 'Not Like Us'
Kendrick Lamar's "Not Like Us" single continues to dominate people's song rotation, and Dwyane Wade's wife, Gabrielle Union, is no different from the rest. But Union's daughter, Kaavia, was hilariously not in the mood to vibe to the song.
The Miami Heat legend's wife shared the hilarious moment she had with her daughter on Instagram. The actress started by rapping the lyrics, only for her daughter to be in a different energy.
"I am deceased," Union wrote.
As Kaaviya continued walking away from her mom, she said she was not in the mood to "pop out" like her mom. It was one of the lyrics from the rap song that Union initially said to her daughter, hoping she would rap it back to her.
The song was released on May 4 as a response to Canadian rapper Drake during their viral rap feud. Since then, it has grown to be one of the biggest hits this year as it ranks top three in the Billboard Hot 100 and sixth place in the Billboard Global 200 chart.
Dwyane Wade's wife Gabrielle Union talked about being an honest parent with her children
During an interview with PEOPLE's Hannah Sacks and Brittany Talarico in April, Dwyane Wade's wife, Gabrielle Union, talked about her preference for being honest with her children.
"We don't also really want to be that transparent," Union said, "because we're afraid of being judged and we want to be able to control how other people see us. And all that does is create an illusion of who we are and it closes the door to real intimacy within the family, real information and a real understanding of who your parents are."
With the difference in character for each of her kids, Union wants to unlock authentic intimacy and connection within her family.
She highlighted that there are times when it is completely natural to be clueless about a lot of things, especially when it comes to raising children.
From her angle, Union wants to form a strong bond with her kids now before she regrets not being able to do so when she's in her later years.
