"I don't give a f**k" - Jimmy Butler's wild reaction on technical foul the Heat received because of him
Jimmy Butler's frustration boiled over after his strong effort went in vain, and the Miami Heat's slump continued Saturday night against the Orlando Magic.
Butler walked off the court in the final seconds of a 126-114 overtime loss, resulting in a technical foul with 10.4 seconds remaining.
Jimmy Butler dropped 38 points on 56.0% shooting in the loss, helping the Miami Heat rally from a 14-point deficit to force overtime on his clutch 3-pointer. Even so, the Heat (36-33) have lost eight of their last 12 games to slide to seventh place in the Eastern Conference.
Asked whether he was aware that Miami got a technical after leaving the court too early, Butler responded:
"I don't give a f**k."
Jimmy Butler walks off the court with 19 seconds left in overtime
The Miami Heat had the final possession as Gabe Vincent dribbled the ball as the clock wound down, but Butler left the court and went to the locker room.
With Miami having only four players on the court after his exit, the team was assessed a technical foul with 10.4 seconds remaining in the game. Cole Anthony knocked down the free throw.
It was a crushing defeat, especially to a competitive player like Jimmy Butler, whose team earned the No. 1 seed in the Eastern Conference last season.
Butler said turnovers and a lack of getting stops during the overtime period were huge factors in the disappointing loss to the Orlando Magic (28-40).
With only 13 games left, the Heat have struggled for the majority of the season and currently find themselves in a play-in situation for a playoff spot.
