"I'll always be your biggest cheerleader"- Tyrese Haliburton's girlfriend Jade Jones shares doting message after ECF berth
Tyrese Haliburton's girlfriend Jade Jones shared a wholesome message following the Indiana Pacers' Game 7 win against the New York Knicks. The win saw them make the conference finals for the first time since 2014.
Jones took to Instagram to share a doting message to the Pacers guard and shared an image of the two hugging after the win. Jones was seen in blue jeans and a simple white top and had her arms wrapped around Haliburton.
She captioned her story:
"I'll always be your biggest cheerleader"
Haliburton and Jones have been dating since 2019. At the time, both were students at Iowa State University, where Jones was a cheerleader, cheering for the Iowa State Cyclones basketball team that had Haliburton as one of their star names. She currently teaches at the Walcott Elementary School in Iowa.
Tyrese Haliburton has been a force for the Pacers in the playoffs
Tyrese Haliburton's efforts ensured that the Indiana Pacers made the deep end of the playoffs. The guard has been in good form, averaging 18.8 points. 5.0 rebounds, and 8.1 assists in this postseason run.
After a slow start in the first-round series against the Milwaukee Bucks, he has been averaging 21.8 points, 4.4 rebounds, and 6.8 assists in his last five games.
Earlier, he shed light on the mindset he and the Pacers shared leading up to Game 7. He said it was all about having fun.
"We’re just trying to play free, trying to play fun. We understand that we’re not expected to win these games, especially here on the road in Game 7. Like you said, we don’t have a lot of experience. So we just come out and play free and have fun."
Haliburton and the Pacers now face their next big test against the Boston Celtics who made the ECF after wins over the Miami Heat and the Cleveland Cavaliers.
While Indiana has had the necessary offense, they will have to be a clinical unit if they intend to get past a well-oiled Boston unit.
The Celtics took three of the five meetings between the two sides in the regular season, including dropping a massive 155 points on the Pacers in November. But since then, both teams have made stark runs in the postseason.
Game 1 of the Eastern Conference Finals between the two teams tips off on Tuesday night (May. 21)
