"I’ll put the wig back on when I’m ready": Dwight Howard’s fiancé makes her feelings clear about ditching “baddie" persona
Earlier this month, Dwight Howard shocked the world by announcing he was engaged. Following the reveal of his now-public relationship, his fiancé opened up on her life in an elongated social media post.
Howard is now rapper Amy Luciani. It's unknown how long they've been together, but their engagement suggests it's been some time. Aside from her music, Luciani is most known for being on the hit reality show Love & Hip-Hop: Atlanta.
Days after announcing her engagement to Dwight Howard, Luciani made a long post on Instagram about her life. Among the things she touched on was being comfortable in her own skin, most notably with her hair. Luciani has decided to part ways with her "baddie" persona to surround herself with those who want to be around the real her.
"I been purposely going out and finding people who love me for me not the 'Baddie Amy' and God been sending them my way," Luciani wrote.

As for Howard, he is fresh off seeing his name placed on the ballot for the Basketball Hall of Fame. The three-time Defensive Player of the Year hasn't been on an NBA roster for almost three years now but continues to play professionally overseas.
Along with playing basketball in other countries, Howard has also tested his skills on TV. He's appeared on numerous shows, most recently competing on Dancing With The Stars.
Dwight Howard goes public with engagement with one-word Instagram post
Since last being on an NBA roster, it's been an up-and-down few years for Dwight Howard. However, it seems like the former All-Star has managed to find happiness despite being caught up in some messy situations.
Back in the summer of 2023, Howard was facing sexual assault allegations by a man in Georgia. The situation would end up dragging on for a year, with the case eventually being dropped.
While most of his life has been in the public eye, Dwight Howard did a good job keeping his relationship private. That changed earlier this month, when the former Orlando Magic star decided to stun the world. He made a most with Amy Luciani on Instagram, only needing a one-word caption to describe how things are going.
"Happy," Howard wrote.
As 2024 comes to a close, things seem to be looking up for Howard. He has a chance to see his name enshrined alongside the all-time greats in basketball and could be tying the knot with his new fiancé.
