"I love Jayson Tatum off the court" - Skip Bayless destroys Celtics superstar after another no-show in Game 3
FS1 analyst Skip Bayless lambasted Boston Celtics superstar forward Jayson Tatum for his performance on Sunday night.
The Celtics lost 128-102 to fall behind 3-0 in their Eastern Conference finals series against Miami Heat. Tatum finished with just 14 points on 6-for-18 (33.3%) shooting.
Bayless took to Twitter where he called Tatum a good person before implying that he isn’t a fan of Tatum’s game:
“I love Jayson Tatum off the court. But on it ...,” Bayless tweeted.
This was just one in a series of tweets from Bayless on Sunday. He also tweeted his disbelief about the Celtics and LA Lakers both being down 3-0 in the conference finals. The Lakers trail the Denver Nuggets 3-0 in their Western Conference finals series:
“Somewhere Magic and Bird are moaning and rolling their eyes: The Lakers and Celtics are both down 0-3 in the conference finals. Just ... not ... right,” Bayless tweeted.
However, Bayless also said that he still thinks the Celtics have a better chance to come back in the series than the Lakers. That's because the Celtics would have a potential Game 5 and Game 7 at home in Boston:
“I'd say the Celtics have a better shot than the Lakers if they can win Game 4. At least the Celtics would have 2 of the last 3 at home. Then again, the Celtics are 4-5 at home so far in these playoffs. So ...,” Bayless tweeted.
Jayson Tatum bemoans Boston Celtics’ Game 3 blowout loss to Miami
Following the Celtics’ Game 3 blowout loss to the Heat, Jayson Tatum was asked what Boston can do to gain momentum in the series. Tatum spoke about how the Celtics need to try and forget about Game 3 and show some pride in the next game:
“As tough as tonight was, you just gotta try to move on,” Tatum said. “Prepare, get ready, practice, film and stuff for tomorrow. Obviously, we’re in a tough position, but we gotta have some pride, bounce back and just be better come Tuesday.”
Game 4 between the Heat and Celtics will take place on Tuesday in Miami. The Heat will have a chance to sweep the Celtics and advance to the NBA Finals for the first time since 2020.
