"I'm 6'10'": Josh Giddey takes playful jab at Aussie teammate Jock Landale using team photo

Australian guard Josh Giddey shared an edited photo of himself on his social media while making sport of his teammate, Jock Landale. Giddey posted a photo from their recent national team appearance where he looked taller than the 6-foot-11 big man.

Giddey plays the guard position and is listed at 6 foot 8 inches. As a facilitator, the Aussie is a little bigger than other NBA floor generals. His official height has caused some confusion in the past, but it was confirmed during his rookie season.

That said, Giddey recently joked on Instagram that he looks bigger than the center in their team photo:

Giddey's size as a point guard gives him an edge as he sees over most of his defenders. The guard tends to maximize his height while directing the offense. His length is also useful when he needs to score inside the three-point arc.

How did Josh Giddey perform at the 2024 Paris Olympics?

The Australian National Team struggled at the 2024 Paris Olympics. They aimed to finish in the top three of the tournament after securing the bronze medal in the 2020 Tokyo Olympics.

However, Serbia eliminated them in the quarterfinals. Giddey, on the other hand, was an exceptional player during the Olympic games. Although his team only played four games, the star guard showed promise during their run.

He averaged 17.5 points, 7.8 rebounds and 6 assists for Australia. The new member of the Chicago Bulls had a great shooting performance as he shot 50.0% from the field and 47.4% from range. It's known that Josh Giddey hasn't been the best perimeter marksman, but his recent outing displayed his improvement.

In their final game, he played an effective role as the team's primary scorer. He finished the game with 25 points and shot 3 for 5 from beyond the arc.

Unfortunately, his seven turnovers during the game didn't help his case, as it gave the opposing team more chances. But his Olympic performance showed a ton of promise. The Bulls expect him to show the same kind of versatility for the 2024-25 NBA campaign.
