Fortunately, it doesn't appear that the injury was serious. Shaq was released from the hospital and seems to be recovering well from the surgery. However, the four-time NBA champion has to use crutches while walking until he fully recovers.
It might be a while until the basketball analyst is back at his 100% and is able to rejoin the "NBA on TNT" cast. However, his co-workers recently had hilarious reactions to a video of Shaq using crutches and hitting a gym.

Shaquille O'Neal was recently roasted by his "NBA on TNT" colleagues after they saw a video of the basketball legend using crutches. Shaq is familiar with roasting as he's done a lot of it on the show.
Shortly after he was released from the hospital, Shaq hit the gym. However, he hasn't fully recovered from his surgery, which is why he had to use crutches to walk around. O'Neal posted a video of him going to the gym on his Instagram profile, which ended up receiving a lot of reactions.
"About to get my game back," O'Neal posted as a caption of the video. "All you old dudes that hoop in 24 Hour Fitness, Iโm coming for y'all."
Unsurprisingly, Shaquille O'Neal's colleagues couldn't wait to make fun of him. They also joked about his hip since the video doesn't show him working out his lower body.
"This is how he works out his upper body," Adam Lefkoe said while watching the video. "Everyone's wondering how does he keep his hip loose."
