"I’m tired of all the noise" - Dwyane Wade defends Miami Heat roster amid questions about star player depth
Former Miami Heat star Dwyane Wade has not lost faith in his former team as they try to contend for the NBA championship. The Heat (7-7) have had a sluggish start to the season despite having their stars available for most of the 2024-25 NBA season.
In his recent appearance at "The OGs Show," hosted by his former teammates Mike Miller and Udonis Haslem, Wade believes in the Heat. In a clip posted on X (formerly Twitter) on Monday, the recently retired star thinks Miami has what it takes to contend for the title.
"When it comes to the Heat, we’re talkin’ about a group of guys who’ve had some success by going to the Finals twice since they’ve been together," Wade said. "Sometimes you gotta quiet the noise. 'They haven’t done it. Jimmy hasn’t done this. Bam haven’t went to this' — whatever the noise is, it doesn’t matter.
"That team got a chance versus any team, any given night, every night. So, I’m proud of that. I’m proud of Pat Riley comin’ in and sayin', 'Quiet all the noise — we got to get to it this year.'
Wade said he's "tired of the noise" around his former team's chances of contending for the championship.
"As a Miami Heat player, I’m tired of all the noise. We got enough. You got everything you need and you can always ask for more. We can all ask for more. You have enough. Go get it done."
Since Jimmy Butler joined the Heat, the franchise has reached the NBA Finals twice (2020, 2023). However, on both occasions, the group came up short. Even with their shortcomings, Wade believes they can finish the job with the core of Butler, Bam Adebayo, and Tyler Herro.

Miami Heat's trio has started to be aggressive on offense
The Miami Heat trio of Butler, Adebayo, and Herro isn't always known for their scoring. With two of the three stars, defense is always highlighted. However, they've started to take charge on offense.
Through 10 games played, Butler had a lowly start to the year, averaging 19.2 points, 5.7 rebounds and 5.0 assists. However, in the last two games, the six-time All-Star has scored at least 30 points.
On the other hand, Adebayo is averaging 16.5 points 9.6 rebounds, and 4.0 assists in his first 14 games. In his last five games, he's had two games where he finished with at least 20 points and one with 30 points.
Lastly, Herro has increased his scoring this season, averaging 23.8 points (a career-high), 5.3 rebounds, and 5.1 assists.
Out of the three players, he's the most efficient, knocking down over 42% of his attempts from beyond the arc.
