"I pray we look at each other like this forever": Paul George's wife Daniela Rajic shares loving anniversary post with adoring message
Daniela Rajic, the wife of new Philadelphia 76ers star Paul George, marked their anniversary with a heartwarming Instagram post for her more than 222,000 followers on Saturday.
Paul George and Daniela have been together for over a decade, starting their relationship in 2013 and getting married in 2022.
To celebrate their anniversary, Daniela posted a photo of them together under fireworks on Instagram, with the caption:
โHappy anniversary @ygtrece (Paul Georgeโs IG handle) ๐๐ marrying you was the best day of my life and I pray we look at each other like this forever ๐๐.โ
The couple welcomed two daughters, Olivia and Natasha, before Paul proposed to Daniela in November 2020. They then welcomed their son, Paul, in October 2021 and got married in June 2022.
Paul George turned 34 in May, and Daniela surprised him with a tattoo of the number 13, his jersey number, on her left ring finger.
Daniela, who attended Miami University, worked at Tootsies, a Miami strip club, to pay for her education. After meeting George, she pursued a career in modeling and, along with Sarah Nasser, now owns the swimsuit brand "Nude Swim."
Paul George lets go of iconic 'PG13' after move to Philadelphia 76ers
The โPG13โ era has come to an end, at least for now, as Paul George will now sport No. 8 for the Philadelphia 76ers. George, who previously wore No. 13 and 24 during his NBA career, had to change his jersey number because both are retired by the 76ers.
For the first time since 2015, George won't be wearing No. 13. Instead, he'll be donning No. 8 with the 76ers.
George can't wear No. 13 because it is retired in honor of Wilt Chamberlain, who played four seasons with Philadelphia and is the Sixers' all-time leader in scoring average and field goal percentage.
Chamberlain also led the Sixers to the NBA championship in 1967.
Similarly, No. 24 is retired in honor of Bobby Jones, known as the "Secretary of Defense," who played a decade for Philadelphia and earned NBA All-Defensive first-team honors for eight consecutive seasons.
On his podcast, George revealed that his new number is inspired by his idol, Kobe Bryant, who was born in Philadelphia and wore No. 8 for the Lakers during the first decade of his NBA career.
"I had to do it. C'mon man, I'm in Philly," George said on his podcast. "My way of idolizing Kobe.โ
The addition of George to Philadelphia creates a big three alongside Joel Embiid and Tyrese Maxey in the Eastern Conference.
