"I watched a lot of the highlights from it and the French broadcasters were hilarious," Curry said. "'The Devil Curry does it again,' I will not be adopting that nickname though."
The "Devil Curry" certainly gave nightmares to opposing defenses, helping Team USA to its fifth consecutive gold medal dating back to the 2008 Beijing Olympics, with Curry securing his first gold medal.

Steph Curry reveals humorous LeBron James story from the Olympics
Leading up to Steph Curry's 36-point explosion in the Olympic semifinals, the two-time NBA MVP was in somewhat of a shooting slump. In the four games prior, Curry was averaging just 7.3 points per game, shooting a lackluster 35.7% from the field and 25% from beyond the arc.
During the same appearance on The Late Show, Curry recounted a hilarious story involving LeBron James supporting him through it all.
"I mean we were winning and I was doing my part, trying to play hard, but I knew at some point I was going to have to hit some shots," Curry said. "I actually remember after we played Perto Rico in the pool play around I was doing an interview with one of guys from the Bay Area and as he's talking he's asking me the same question, 'What's wrong with your shot, are you worried about it?' and the positive self-talk came out. I was like 'No, we're winning, I know a flurry is coming' and as soon as I said it [LeBron James] walks right behind me and he's like 'Damn right it is!'"
Curry went on to joke about the switch from battling LeBron James in the NBA to playing alongside him as a teammate.
"It caught me off guard," Curry said. "I still had to get used to, you know, liking that guy cause of all of our battles."
Steph Curry has discussed his budding friendship with LeBron James numerous times since the Olympics. Curry and James displayed elite on-court chemistry with flashy passes and alley-oops, even sparking rumors that the two could look to team up in the NBA.
