"I will slap your lips off into next week, son!" - When "Black Adam" star Dwyane Johnson hilariously responded to Giannis Antetokounmpo saying he'd kill The Rock
Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson and Giannis Antetokounmpo shared a hilarious exchange three years ago. Antetokounmpo poked Johnson while working out with teammate Pat Connaughton, saying he lifts heavier than the former wrestler.
He challenged "The Rock" to come down to Milwaukee and work out with him in Milwaukee. The "People's Champ" took note of the friendly jabs Antetokounmpo took at him and responded, saying:
"Haha just seeing this. My boys here are stroooong!! Good to see you’re bringing my Iron Paradise to the NBA. It’s why you’re #1 in the East. @Giannis_An34 might be bionic."
Giannis Antetokounmpo was happy to see Dwayne Johnson respond. He revealed that he's a big fan of the Hollywood actor. A reporter asked Antetokounmpo if he would challenge "The Rock" in a wrestling match. The "Greek Freak" delivered a hilarious answer before wisely taking his words back, saying:
"I'll kill him. No I'm joking because I don't want him coming here and then being mad or try to kill me first, so I'm just joking."
Giannis Antetokounmpo's comical response cracked up Dwayne Johnson as well. Johnson called Giannis a "beast" before agreeing that they should work out together. The two didn't get together to see who would be out on top, though. It would've interesting to see who would lift heavier between the two freakish athletes.
Giannis Antetokounmpo's love for wrestling is no secret
Giannis Antetokounmpo is one of the biggest wrestling fans. The Milwaukee Bucks superstar even had a pre-game ritual a couple of years ago with his teammates as they pretended to wrestle, with Giannis usually pinning his opponent.
Former Bucks center Robin Lopez was generally Antetokounmpo's counterpart during those rituals. Antetokounmpo also engaged in wrestling bouts with mascots of other teams, providing great content for NBA fans.
Giannis Antetokounmpo has also linked up with popular wrestling shows like the WWE and AEW. Triple H, a WWE legend and executive, sent a championship belt to Antetokounmpo after he led the Bucks to a stunning win over the Phoenix Suns in the 2021 finals.
Giannis averaged 35.2 points and 13.2 rebounds per game across six games, helping the Bucks overturn a 2-0 deficit. He also dropped a 50-point performance in the closeout victory in Game 6 in Milwaukee.
Meanwhile, Antetokounmpo appeared on one of AEW's shows in Milwaukee during the 2021 offseason. He got the opportunity to enter the ring through the ramp with a championship belt as fans greeted him with "MVP" chants.
