Iman Shumpert's ex Kayla Nicole has 5-word message for Bronny James haters amid stellar G-League form

Over the past three games, Bronny James has been tearing it up in the G League for the South Bay Lakers. After struggling to find his rhythm during the LA Lakers' Summer League games, Bronny's struggles carried over into the regular season.

However, the second-generation hooper has found his rhythm in the G League, averaging 20.7 points per game in the last three games on 43.0% shooting.

His play has sparked plenty of discourse online as some fans have taken a victory lap to celebrate his growth as a player after skeptics were dismissive of his chances of playing at the NBA level.

In a post on her Instagram story, former NBA guard Iman Shumpert's ex-girlfriend, Kayla Nicole, reacted to James' stats.

"Yall ain't talkin bout nothing," Kayla Nicole captioned.

Given how well James has played in the G League as of late, fans are eager to see him return to the LA Lakers' bench.

Bronny James' play as of late has shown the young guard's versatility

When Bronny James was drafted in the second round of the NBA draft by the LA Lakers, the hope was that he would evolve into a 3&D player, using his size to give opposing guards trouble on one end of the floor and knocking down a spot-up three on the other.

However, during the Summer League and the start of the regular season, James struggled to find his rhythm, leading to hot takes and criticism online. Now with the South Bay Lakers, he has shown flashes of brilliance.

In South Bay's four previous games before Saturday's matchup against the Osceola Magic, Bronny logged three 16-point performances and one 30-point game.

In the first half versus the Orlando Magic's G-League affiliate, James showcased his playmaking abilities as he dished out seven assists, helping give his team the lead at halftime.

LA coach JJ Redick spoke with media members about James' development and his recent play.

“I think where I see on-court progress is his decision-making with the basketball, the on-ball decisions both as a scorer and a playmaker," Redick said on Tuesday, via Lakers Nation. "We’re continuing to see the flashes of what we’re really excited about."

If Bronny keeps it up, we may see more of him on the LA Lakers bench as the season progresses.
