"Imma WR sac need you at QB1": Anthony Edwards chimes in on Tom Brady’s dream NFL lineup ft. Team USA basketball players
Anthony Edwards reacted to Tom Brady putting together a football lineup using players from the 2024 USA Basketball men's team. The retired quarterback premiered a vlog, recapping his trips around Europe with her daughter, which included his 72 hours in Paris.
When they made it to the French capital to watch Team USA in the Olympics, Brady was asked to form an NFL team using members of Team USA. TB12 had to give a long thought to his answer before coming up with the ultimate team.
Anthony Edwards took to Instagram to react to Brady's team, clarifying that he's a wide receiver.
"@tombrady imma WR Sac need you at QB1," Edwards captioned the story.
Football is one of the sports NBA star Anthony Edwards claimed he would be good at. It is not a surprise for him to change the position Tom Brady picked for him. But the New England Patriots legend had a good reason not to make him a wide receiver for his hypothetical team.
Where did Tom Brady place Anthony Edwards on his football team?
As he and his daughter went to watch Team USA and ran into stars like Sabrina Ionescu, Jayson Tatum, Anthony Davis and others, Tom Brady created a terrific hypothetical team.
"LeBron's my tight end. I'm putting Jayson Tatum as my quarterback. I'm putting-running back, that's tough. Maybe Ant as my running back. He's so athletic, a little smaller to the ground, and my receivers... It's tough. I'm looking for, it depends. I need two different types.
"I need a possession guy and I need a down-the-field threat guy. The down-the-field threat guy, maybe I move LeBron out to receiver and put Ant at tight end."
Brady named Joel Embiid and placed him at tight end.
"Joel may be a little too big. Maybe he's the other tight end. Joel at tight end. Then I got LeBron at receiver 'cause I think I can utilize him better, he's got more downfield speed."
Although Steph Curry was mentioned as a potential candidate, Brady picked Devin Booker.
"I'm taking DBook. I've seen his skill. He can go vertical, he’s got speed, work over the middle. That’s a squad," the seven-time Super Bowl champion finished.

After becoming the greatest NFL player to ever play, Tom Brady knows a thing or two about successful football teams. Even though Edwards wants to play at a different position, his position as a running back doesn't look bad at all.
