D'Angelo Russell has a successful 2023-24 season, solidifying his spot as one of the top scoring options for the LA Lakers. During his offseason, he's been active on social media, showing his workouts and documenting his offseason work.

In an Instagram post on Wednesday, Russell showed off his personal style with a picture of his vintage Chevrolet steering wheel.

D'Angelo Russell's smooth play on the court translates off the court with his style. The Lakers guard is looking to build on a solid 2023-24 performance and help the Lakers get back to their championship-chasing ways in 2024-25, with the ninth-best title odds in the NBA.

In 2023, Russell averaged 18.0 points, 6.3 assists and 3.1 rebounds, shooting 45.6%, including 41.5% from behind the arc.

Lakers eyeing Brooklyn Nets' forward Cameron Johnson

The LA Lakers are reportedly eyeing Nets forward Cameron Johnson as a potential trade candidate ahead of the new season.

The Lakers had a long list of free-agent targets but failed to land any of their big fish targets, losing out on DeMar DeRozan and Klay Thompson. DeRozan landed with the Sacramento Kings, while Thompson took his talents to Dallas in pursuit of a fifth championship.

Los Angeles also lost two key contributors in Taurean Prince and Spencer Dinwiddie, giving them a need in bench production.

The Lakers remain active in their pursuit of talent through the offseason though, as Johnson's length and offensive versatility could make him a valuable role player.

If trade talks for Johnson were to arise, Brooklyn could eye a reunion with D'Angelo Russell, who made his lone All-Star appearance with the Nets in 2018-19.

Russell struggled to maintain consistent play during the playoffs and lacks strong defensive traits. For a guard-heavy Lakers team, moving Russell could allow it to bring in a 3-and-D wing like Cameron Johnson.

The Lakers, who already have six guards, could afford to come off of Russell for greater wing depth and more consistent shooting.
