The Minnesota Timberwolves missed out on the 2024 NBA Finals, but one positive is that this gave Anthony Edwards and Jeanine Robel some time together as a family. As Father's Day arrived, the two-time NBA All-Star received a wholesome message from the social media influencer.
In Robel's Instagram story, she showed three photos of her three-month-old daughter, Aislynn, with Edwards holding her in his arms.
"Happy Father's Day," read the caption.
Aislynn was born on March 1, 2024, and at that time, the Minnesota Timberwolves were playing the Sacramento Kings. Edwards had to leave the game early to be with Robel during childbirth after logging nearly 19 minutes.
Edwards was able to contribute 11 points, two rebounds and two assists against the Kings but the Timberwolves lost 124-120 in overtime. Malik Monk erupted with 39 points off the bench to help the Kings overcome the T-Wolves.
Aislynn Edwards is Anthony Edwards' only child with Jeanine Robel, however, Aislynn has a half-brother, Krue, whose father is rapper Chief Keef. Krue and Aislynn are seen frequently on Robel's Instagram stories sharing wholesome moments.
Anthony Edwards and Jeanine Robel enjoy quality time with their children on vacation
Anthony Edwards is set to represent Team USA in the 2024 Paris Olympics. As he waits for training camp to begin, he is maximizing his time off basketball alongside Jeanine Robel and their kids.
In Robel's Instagram stories on June 15, Edwards featured along with Krue and Aislynn, with all of them wearing all-white during their Bahamas getaway.
Edwards is suiting up again for Team USA after missing a podium finish in the 2023 FIBA World Cup. He will get to team up once again with Tyrese Haliburton and coach Steve Kerr, but they are bringing the big guns with them this time.
Among the confirmed players that will participate in the Olympics are the LA Lakers' tandem of Anthony Davis and LeBron James, along with the Phoenix Suns' Kevin Durant and Devin Booker. Other players include Steph Curry, Joel Embiid, Kawhi Leonard, Jayson Tatum, Jrue Holiday and Bam Adebayo.
With so much star power, the US will be shouldering even heavier expectations than normal in Paris, and it will be interesting to see how they get on.
