In Photos: Gilbert Arenas' ex-partner Laura Govan shares snaps of son Alijah playing with pet dogs
Alijah Arenas, the son of three-time NBA All-Star Gilbert Arenas, is showcasing his talents off the court. His mother, Laura Govan, photographed Alijah spending time with their two dogs. She shared the pictures on her Instagram Stories.
In those stories, Alijah is seen doing tricks with their dogs. Laura noted how well Alijah disciplined their four-legged family members.

Arenas and Govan reportedly began dating in 2002. That year, Arenas played for the Golden State Warriors.
The pair eventually became common law spouses and had four children together: Izela Semaya, Alijah, Hamiley and Aloni.
Their son Alijah is ranked as the number one high school shooting guard by 247 Sports and is a five-star recruit in the 2026 class. According to reports, he has received offers from Alabama, Arizona State, California, Fresno State and Arizona. His father played two seasons for the Arizona Wildcats.

Gilbert Arenas shares the story of how he gave Laura Govan a fake ring
In an interview on the DJVLAD YouTube Channel, Gilbert Arenas shared how he gave Laura Govan a fake diamond ring.
According to the former Washington Wizards All-Star, he initially bought her a real ring, which he said was valued at either $395,000 or $495,000. The ring had one large gem in the middle and three smaller gems on the sides.
According to Arenas, he wanted to use the ring, but he and Govan broke up soon after he bought it. Arenas said purchasing the ring was a "waste of money." At that moment, he began considering replacing the expensive ring with a cheaper version.
Eventually, the pair got back together, and Arenas executed his plan to switch the genuine ring with its knockoff version. However, it took him years to do this.
It also took Govan a while to realize that her new ring was fake. After they divorced and Arenas posted an image of the jewelry online, she realized she had been duped.
Now, Gilbert Arenas now dates YouTube personality and musical artist Melli Monaco.
