The southern California house that previously belonged to former LA Lakers legend Kareem Abdul-Jabbar has been posted for sale. According to TMZ Sports, the former all-time top-scorer of the league bought the house in 2011 and sold it in 2021.

The house has been listed this month for $2,995,000. Only 12 homes total, including the one that the NBA icon owned, are situated in the gated community, according to TMZ Sports. The house was custom-made for the 7-foot-2 former athlete, which will be beneficial for anyone tall and in search of a grand property.

TMZ Sports shared that it has harbor views, four bedrooms and three bathrooms. Other amenities of the property feature a gourmet kitchen, a family room with a fireplace and a side garden patio area. Tall people won't need to travel to relax as it has an enlarged spa and showers, high counters and some big door frames.

In terms of security, the property is gated and the future owner can remote-access the security camera system.

The house was built in 2000 and sold by Abdul-Jabbar in 2021 for $2.4 million.

Kareem Abdul-Jabbar lauds former Lakers teammate's defense on Michael Jordan

During his time in the league, Abdul-Jabbar had a plethora of teammates who helped him excel in his game. In his time with the Lakers, he had the chance to play with Michael Cooper. Together, they won five NBA championships as part of the Showtime Lakers.

Sportskeeda's Mark Medina had a chance to talk to the NBA legend on Sept, 21, where he spoke highly of Cooper. The Hall of Fame forward matched up with some of the best offensive players in the league but was able to hold his own on the defensive end.

Abdul-Jabbar shared with Medina that Cooper did a great job whenever he had to defend Michael Jordan.

"Well, he had to guard Michael Jordan and he did a good job. He managed to defend him so that Michael knew that he was being defended," Abdul-Jabbar said. "Not that anybody was able to hold Michael to very few points. But maybe enough for us to win a game or two."

Cooper ended his career as an eight-time All-Defensive player and won the Defensive Player of the Year award in 1987.
