Zubax was seen bloodied after getting into a fight with a few locals in a bar. The venue's security team had to control the two big men, as the locals didn't back down against them.
The Croatian national team had just finished playing against Giannis Antetokounmpo and the Greek national team. The visiting team decided to have fun at a local nightclub in Athens. Zubac was seen talking to a local, which sounded like it was getting intense. The 7-foot center was quickly backed by Saric, who kept talking to the locals.
A crowd quickly gathered and the players were surrounded by locals, which escalated the situation. Zubac ended up with a bloodied knee due to the incident, while Saric was brought to the ground by the drunk locals.

Saric was assisted back to his feet after falling to the ground. The two basketball players exited the venue as the management attempted to neutralize the situation. According to other reports, there was no clear indication of how the situation escalated and how the two players were involved.
Both Zubac and Saric were coming off a loss against Greece. Their national team won't be participating in the 2024 Olympics after their loss. The Clippers center had 19 points and 13 rebounds, while the new Denver Nuggets center scored 14 points.

Ivica Zubac was excited to match up against Giannis Antetokounmpo
Before Croatia's matchup against Greece, Ivica Zubac expressed his excitement about playing against the Greek team and the Greek Freak. He talked about how he was ready for the challenge of guarding Antetokounmpo in their game.
"I've been guarding him my whole career in the NBA, it's always me when we're playing the Bucks," Zubac said (per fiba.basketball). "You need to be prepared for the contact. He loves initiating contact, he's the one coming to you. The key is to take the best possible shots and not to turn the ball over to prevent their running style, but if it happens, you need to form a wall. You need to block his view to potential holes where he could pass through, and try to make it a five-on-five battle.
While his excitement was obvious, it wasn't enough to slow down the two-time NBA MVP. The Milwaukee Bucks star had 23 points and eight rebounds as Greece secured an 80-69 victory over Croatia.
