Ja Morant is coming off a roller-coaster 2023-24 season filled with injury setbacks and a 25-game suspension. As he awaits his comeback in the upcoming season, he's been spending his spare time alongside his family. His sister, Teniya Morant, recently shared images from his "Great Gatsby"-themed 25th birthday celebration.

He showed up to the party in a sleek all-black suit-and-tie apparel with a No. 12 necklace on display as well. It was a packed event filled with friends and relatives as his father, Tee Morant, also attended. The stylish birthday theme brought the best out of each attendee's choice of attire for the night.

Morant was the No. 2 pick in the 2019 draft, selected by the Memphis Grizzlies. He will be entering his sixth NBA season after averaging 25.1 points (47.1% shooting, including 27.5% from 3-point range), 8.1 assists and 5.6 rebounds per game.

His sister, on the other hand, is set to start her collegiate basketball career with the Mississippi Valley State Delta Devilettes.


Ja Morant shared workout grind on Instagram

The work doesn't stop for Ja Morant, who is eyeing a strong comeback this season. His Memphis Grizzlies (27-55) sorely missed his presence as they finished 13th in the Western Conference.

While the anticipation continues for next season, the Grizzlies superstar shared snaps of his workout session as of late both from gym sessions to on-court routines.

The two-time NBA All-Star is no stranger to putting the work on as seen with the kind of production he's capable of doing. The last game he played was on Jan. 5 against the LA Lakers in a 127-113 victory.


Ja Morant received praise from former Celtics center

The NBA Cup makes its return for the second straight season, and 2008 NBA Champion Kendrick Perkins has Ja Morant and the Memphis Grizzlies winning it, as per the latest episode of ESPN's "NBA Today."

"I'm going with the Memphis Grizzlies," Morant said. "I think they're going to win it all when it comes down to the NBA Cup. We know with Ja Morant, he's already said that he's going to come out on a mission and people better stay out of his way. We know what type of mindset he has."
