In Photos: Ja Morant's ex KK Dixon shares montage of pics with daughter Kaari J on 5th birthday with emotional message
Memphis Grizzlies star Ja Morant's ex-girlfriend KK Dixon shared a special tribute to their daughter, Kaari Jaidyn Morant, on Wednesday, the occasion of her fifth birthday.
Dixon took to Instagram to share a montage of pictures with her daughter and coupled it with an emotional birthday message.
"Big 5🤍happy birthday babygirl!! You light up every room, the greatest. My bestfriend, love you more than life! #KaariJ," Dixonn captioned.
KK Dixon and Ja Morant welcomed their daughter in 2019 after over two years of being together, which was the same year he got drafted by the Grizzlies.
Morant first met Dixon as a college freshman while attending Murray State University in Kentucky. The pair started dating in 2017 before making their relationship official in 2018 but reportedly split in January 2023.
Ja Morant and KK Dixon share joint custody of their daughter, who tends to live with her mom. The NBA star maintains a cordial relationship with Dixon as they co-parent Kaari. The pair also manage a joint Instagram account dedicated to Kaari and often post pictures of various moments of her childhood.

Ja Morant's birthday wish for his daughter was slightly different from KK Dixon's. The two-time NBA All-Star took to Instagram to share a glimpse of his birthday wish, which started as the classic pretense of not knowing what the special occasion was.
Morant threw random guesses towards Kaari to which she firmly said no before her dad guessed her birthday, at which she shouted "Yes!"
"Uh Christmas? Thanksgiving? It's your birthday!," Morant said. "Happy birthday!"
Ja Morant is a proud dad and often celebrates Kaari on social media. He had attended his daughter's pre-kindergarten graduation with Dixon. Kaari's parents posted snaps from the day on the Instagram page dedicated to her as they conveyed their wishes.
"Pre-K grad 🤍🤍we love you big girl!" the post captioned.
Meanwhile, Kaari is also often seen cheering on for her dad during his NBA games and quickly became a hit with Memphis Grizzlies fans.
After Morant missed most of the 2023-24 season due to suspension and shoulder injury, he has been cleared for all basketball-related activities and should be ready for the 2024-25 season.
