In Photos: Jamal Murray cuts a casual figure as he enjoys some rugby action at NRL finals
Jamal Murray has been in Australia for some time now. The Denver Nuggets superstar was in attendance for the NRL finals between Sydney Roosters and Manly Sea Eagles.
In the pictures posted by the Roosters, Murray posed with NRL and Roosters star Mark Nawaqanitawase. Before the game, the NBA star and the rugby star chatted on the sidelines.
While Nawaqanitawase was in his pregame outfit, Murry was in casual attire for the outing. He was wearing black joggers while rocking New Balance shoes. The Nuggets star was also wearing a white T-shirt under a sleeveless hoodie.

It shouldn't be a surprise to see Murray being a known face in Australian sports. Basketball is one of the biggest sports in Australia and certainly the 2023 NBA champion has done enough to get the recognition.
The Sydney Roosters will host the Manly Sea Eagles at Allianz Stadium. The clash will send the winner to the preliminary finals of the NRL.

Jamal Murray made some noise against the LA Lakers in the first round of the NBA playoffs. However, the Nuggets guard failed to make a big impression against the Minnesota Timberwolves.
His performance woes hit another wall during the Paris Olympics. Jamal Murray went through perhaps the worst shooting spree during the Olympics. Murray's shooting problems might lie in his mind, and the NBA champion guard is perhaps trying to address them through the UFC.
In the posts shared by former UFC Featherweight Champion Alexander Volkanovski on his Instagram, the NBA star was training with Volkanovski and his team. Murray was also pictured training personally with the UFC fighter, taking him in the chokehold.
Murray is a known danger for any team in the playoffs. However, this postseason, he struggled. He shot career-low both from the field and the 3-point line.
Jamal Murray averaged a career-low 20.6 points in the playoffs this year. He shot 40.2% from the field and 31.5% from the 3-point line. After the contract extension, it would be interesting to see how the Nuggets star makes a comeback next season.
