The 2024 NBA Finals MVP, Jaylen Brown, has plenty of reasons to celebrate during the off-season. Set to see his landmark five-year, $285 million deal kick in during the upcoming season, Brown has been enjoying unparalleled success with the Boston Celtics and will be looking to continue in the same vein in the coming campaign.
Regardless, it seems his off-court life is also set to undergo considerable change with a recent development. Brown has put his penthouse condo in Boston's Fort Point area for sale, priced at a whopping $4.75 million, as per NY Post. The house not only features a range of luxuries but also has an open layout and offers a terrace view of the city.
Located at 49 Melcher St., unit PH501, the condo spans a massive 2,964 square feet and is designed entirely on a single floor. Situated in a historic building that once served as an industrial factory, the house’s interiors pay homage to its roots by keeping its industrial vibe untouched.
It includes a 400-square-foot private deck accessed via a spiral staircase. The house is being handled by George Sarkis in collaboration with Manny Sarkis of The Sarkis Team at the Douglas Ellman real estate firm. The house itself has been constructed as an open concept and comes with a 12-plus-foot ceiling with the original wood beams.
George Sarkis called Jaylen Brown’s condo the ‘MVP of townhouses’
Sarkis had high praise for the house, calling it the ‘MVP of townhouses’ and claimed that its value was further helped by the fact that one of Boston’s steakhouses was located in the building:
“It’s the MVP of town houses. It really is. It’s obviously a really cool unit in a really cool space. The open concept, the feel of it, the brick and beam. To see this at about a 3,000-square-foot-scale is very hard to come by. Having one of Boston’s steakhouses in the building is a big bonus.” [H/T Boston.com]
Furthermore, the house boasts a walk-in closet and a bathroom with a double vanity and a walk-in shower. While fans might be concerned about the sale, Sarkis also claimed that the sale had nothing to do with Brown considering his future with the Celtics:
“He just loved being in a low-key building. He loved it. He’s in and out. He would go in there and have dinner, have friends over. It was close to everything, but far enough away. He will still be a Boston Celtic.”
As per Robb Report, whoever buys the home will be required to pay a monthly charge of $1,842 for maintenance.
