The couple usually keeps their son's photos and content private, but since it was a special day, they wanted their followers to share in the celebration.

Embiid had a great summer as a basketball star, representing Team USA at the 2024 Paris Olympics and helping the team secure another gold medal. Upon returning home, the Sixers star focused on spending more time with his family.

Joel Embiid has a close bond with Arthur

Joel Embiid named his son after his younger brother, who tragically died in a car accident in Cameroon in 2013. To honor his brother's memory, Embiid chose to name his son after him.

In 2021, Anne De Paula was interviewed by ESPN, where she shared a story about an incident when Embiid suffered an injury while playing against the Washington Wizards. The model told ESPN that her son Arthur woke up crying around the same time his father sustained the injury.

"They are like best friends," she said. "When Arthur sees him, there is no one else in the room. It is the most beautiful thing ever. It almost felt like, with their connection, Arthur sensed something was going on."

When the star big man won the Most Valuable Player award in 2023, he shared the moment with his family. Before giving a speech, Embiid's mini-me ran towards him.

"Honestly, he's the main reason why I'm really here," Embiid said (per PEOPLE). "Becoming a father changed my whole life and I just wanted to show him a good example, and I'm glad he is here with us. My fiancée is a big part of it, too."

Embiid was also in tears while holding his son up during his MVP celebration. The bond that Embiid has with Arthur is truly unbreakable.
