Superstar point guard Steph Curry delivered a historic performance to power Team USA past Serbia 95-91 in Thursday's 2024 Paris Olympic semifinal showdown. Afterward, his American co-star and ex-Golden State Warriors teammate Kevin Durant showed him love on Instagram.

Curry amassed a game-high 36 points, eight rebounds, two assists and nine 3-pointers, shooting 63.2%. The Americans needed every bit of the two-time NBA MVP's offensive production to help it overcome a 17-point first-half deficit.

Trailing by 13 points entering the fourth quarter, Team USA outscored Serbia 32-15 during the final period. Amid its late-game onslaught, Curry hit arguably the game's biggest shot, drilling a go-ahead 3 with 2:16 remaining.

On top of willing his squad to victory, Curry made U.S. men's basketball Olympic history. His 36 points marked the team's second-highest single-game point total ever, one point shy of ex-Team USA superstar forward Carmelo Anthony's 37-point record against Nigeria (2012).

After Curry's dominant semifinal showing, Durant, who chipped in nine points off the bench, posted multiple Instagram stories celebrating his teammate.

Durant and Curry spent three seasons together with Golden State from 2016 to 2019, winning the 2017 and 2018 NBA titles.

However, if they win an Olympic gold medal as teammates, it will mark their first time doing so. While Durant is aiming for his record-breaking fourth gold medal with the U.S. men's basketball squad, Curry is competing in his first Olympics.
