Monica McNutt and Justin Jackson share details of their relationship

Monica McNutt and Justin Jackson shared insights into their relationship in a magazine feature on Essence. They met through a mutual friend in 2019, and their connection deepened quickly.

“I was in New York for work, and Justin invited me to a Washington Commanders bar; we spent the day exploring the city. That was also the day of our first kiss,” McNutt recounted.
“Even before we became romantically involved, I always felt secure with him. As our relationship developed, I realized that safety extended beyond just physical comfort to mental and spiritual well-being.”

McNutt reflected on their first dinner together, saying she sensed something special about Jackson.

“I remember telling my friend after that date, ‘I think there might be something there, we’ll see,’” McNutt noted.

Jackson, in turn, expressed his thoughts on finding his match.

“You meet thousands of people in your life, but only a few truly ‘get’ you,” Jackson remarked.

Jackson proposed during a trip to Grenada. Their wedding was attended by over a hundred guests.
