In Photos: LeBron James pairs $1900 Ralph Lauren outfit with $270,000 watch for Paris Olympics 2024 opening ceremony
On Friday afternoon, LeBron James and the rest of Team USA will partake in the opening ceremonies of the 2024 Olympics. As the NBA star gets ready to make history, he made sure his outfit matched this big occasion.
Team USA has a set uniform to wear for the opening ceremonies, but LeBron's is a little different. While most people will be wearing blue, he is donning a white Ralph Lauren jacket. His attire is different because he was selected to be a flag bearer for the United States in the ceremony.
Along with his $998 jacket, the LA Lakers star is sporting an Audemars Paris Oak watch that is believed to cost around $270,000.
LeBron James' outfit alone is priced around $1,900. Pair that with the watch on his wrist, and the NBA icon is pulling out all the stops for his big moment.
LeBron will be adding another historic feat to his resumé in these Olympics. He is the first male basketball player to be selected as the flag bearer in Team USA history.
Fans react to LeBron James' 2024 Olympics opening ceremonies attire
As one of the NBA's biggest names, LeBron James drew a series of reactions from fans for his stellar opening ceremonies attire. Fans poured into the comment section to share their thoughts on the 20-time All-Star's outfit.
"Nah these are cold," one fan said.
"Now this is aura," another fan said.
"King of America looking like actually royalty." Said one fan.
Other fans began getting excited to see LeBron and the rest of the star-studded Team USA squad take the floor in Olympic competition.
"Going to be such a cool moment to witness for Bron and Team USA Basketball," one fan said.
"King is ready," another fan said.
"LeGoat James, Team USA Olympic Games Paris 2024 Opening Ceremony Flag Bearer." Said one fan.
The 2024 Olympics marks LeBron James' return to Team USA after over a decade of being away. After winning a gold medal in London in 2012, the LA Lakers forward did not partake in the last two Olympics.
Following a subpar showing in the FIBA World Cup last summer, LeBron and numerous other NBA stars decided to suit up in the Olympics. This roster is a roster that some feel rivals "The Dream Team."
Aside from LeBron, other stars partaking in the Olympics for the United States are Kevin Durant, Steph Curry, Anthony Edwards and Joel Embiid.
