In Photos: Luka Doncic drops new colorway for Jordan Luka 3s shoes inspired by his love for cars

Jordan Brand released the "Photo Finish' colorway of Dallas Mavericks superstar Luka Doncic's Jordan Luka 3 sneakers on Tuesday. The new iteration of the shoe draws inspiration from the five-time NBA All-Star's love for cars.

The clean colorway comes in a combination of white, black volt, glow green and glow hue. It features a white base with crisp accents, including on the mint IsoPlate, which is a signature feature of the shoe that provides better stability and support for athletes. The exciting car racing culture, meanwhile, is given a nod through the spirited colors on the midsole.

Luka Doncic marked the release of the "Photo Finish' colorway of the Jordan Luka 3 by taking to his Instagram story, where he shared the latest version of his signature shoe and other details about it.

Luka Doncic says Jordan Luka 3 "Photo Finish" a product of extensive collaboration

Luka Doncic is excited for the latest version of his Jordan Luka 3, dubbed "Photo Finish,' which he describes as a combination of his passion for shoes and cars as well as a product of extensive collaboration.

'The Don' said the ultra-clean white-volt glow-green glow-black shoe is representative of him both on and off court.

He shared this in an interview earlier this year with sneakerhead and journalist Nick DePaula, saying:

"This design being inspired by cars is fun. It's about the speed and control you need on the court, just like on the road."

Meanwhile, in a separate conversation with Esquire, Luka Doncic spoke about what went into the design process, including how he worked with the Jordan Brand for the final look.

The 25-year-old Slovenian superstar said:

"I have meetings with Jordan every few months. They put options up on a screen, and I tell them what I like and what I don't like. It's how we get to the final product."

Doncic signed a five-year extension with the Jordan Brand last August. He was initially signed to a signature deal in December 2019.

Meanwhile, as the Mavericks superstar continues to grow his Jordan sneaker line, Doncic took his NBA journey to a whole new level in the past NBA season, where he led Dallas to its first NBA Finals trip after more than a decade. They, however, lost to the Boston Celtics in five games.

For the season, he averaged 33.9 points, 9.8 assists, 9.2 rebounds and 1.4 steals. He earned his fifth straight All-NBA First Team selection and finished third in the MVP voting.
