In Photos: Paul George ditches his scruffy beard and debuts new look while enjoying dinner with wife in Hong KongĀ
On Wednesday, Paul George took to Instagram, giving fans a behind-the-scenes look at his and his wife's trip to Hong Kong. With NBA training camps set to open in early October for the Philadelphia 76ers, George is taking the opportunity to enjoy some time off before the 2024-25 NBA season tips off.
After George and the Clippers were eliminated from the playoffs amid an injury that sidelined Kawhi Leonard for most of the series, the nine-time All-Star parted ways with the franchise. Following failed contract negotiations, George signed with the Philadelphia 76ers, joining Joel Embiid in the Eastern Conference.
Now, ahead of what is expected to be a big year for the 76ers, George is making the most of what's left of this summer. In the first photo posted on Wednesday, Aug. 21, George can be seen showing off some new facial hair while rocking a gold watch in a geo-tagged photo.
In the second picture, the NBA vet showed off his wife, who was wearing a decorative headpiece along with a blue dress. In the caption, George simply wrote:
"Her!"

Looking at Paul George's offseason so far leading up to Hong Kong vacation
So far, this offseason has been a busy one for Paul George as he moves across the country and relocates from Los Angeles to Philadelphia. Throughout the regular season, George and the Clippers struggled to find common ground during contract extension talk.
Heading into the offseason, there was still some optimism that a deal could potentially come to fruition, however in early July, he then signed a four-year max contract with Philadelphia.
Shortly after the deal was announced, George posted a video from the 76ers' Instagram account, sending a message to Philadelphia fans:
"Philly fans. What's up? It's your boy. PG eight, not 13. We cut the 13 out, but super. Excited to be here in Philly. I can't wait to get things started. Yall gon' get the best of me, you know what I mean? But I'm just happy to be here, be a part of this city peace."
Since then, George's big offseason has continued, with he and his wife celebrating their anniversary in July. George also took some time to pull up to an AAU game for his team, Paul George Elite, as they competed at the Peach Jam.
In addition, before he and his wife traveled to Hong Kong on vacation, Paul George kicked off the month of August with a recent appearance at Fresno State.
He and the 76ers will play their first preseason game on Oct. 11, with their first regular season game scheduled for Oct. 23.
