The WNBA has garnered a lot more attention in recent months, however, LA Lakers star LeBron James supported the league even before its surge in popularity. The four-time NBA champion was among one of the high-profile fans in attendance for the 2023 WNBA Finals between the New York Liberty and the Las Vegas Aces.

James was rooting for A'Ja Wilson and the Aces and wished her well ahead of the finale series, as he told Sirius XM in October:

"A'ja's my little sister. I love what she's been able to do, not only for the game of basketball itself but for the WNBA. For me to be able to always support her, and her to trust me, in that sense, to be a guidance for her, it's only right that I was able to take care of her for another finals appearance.
"So, best of luck to her, and hope she brings it home."

The Aces became the first WNBA team to clinch back-to-back titles by securing the 2023 championship with a 3-1 record in the best-of-five series. A'Ja Wilson was named the Finals MVP for leading the team's winning effort averaging 21.3 points, 12.5 rebounds, 1.5 assists, 1.3 steals, and 1.3 blocks in the series.
