Steph Curry launched the world's first Curry Brand store on Thursday in a brand-new mall in Chengdu, China. Currently on the brand's "China Tour," the Golden State Warriors star is joined by Sacramento Kings star De'Aaron Fox who is the brand's first signature athlete.
This comes just a few days after Curry elaborated that boosting Curry Brand's international presence was a priority during an event at the National Basketball Players Association.
“Basketball is everywhere and we want to be everywhere,” Curry said. “And opening up our first Curry Brand store over there — I’m excited about just that entire experience of what does it mean not just here in the U.S., but internationally, and what we can do to make sure people know what that splash logo means and what it stands for, and what Curry Brand means and where Under Armour is going.”
The first-ever Curry Brand store will have all of the brand's products, including their "China Tour" pack. Moreover, a second store is slated to open in Xian during the tour as well.
Backed by Under Armour, Curry Brand was launched in November 2020. It made Curry one of the few NBA players to have their own brand, and he joined the likes of basketball legends Michael Jordan and Patrick Ewing.
