In Photos: Steph Curry's wife Ayesha and sister Sydel look stylish in latest photo shoot for Warriors star's wine brand
Steph Curry's sister Sydel and his wife Ayesha Curry appeared for another photo shoot for their wine brand Domaine Curry. In a series of posts made by makeup artist Ashley Rose, the sisters-in-law were seen posing with their wine glasses for the photo shoot.
Steph Curry's wife Ayesha appeared in a blood-red gown. Curry's sister Sydel Curry-Lee was wearing a full-sleeved floral dress for the occasion. The makeup artist also posted a video of Ayesha and Sydel joking with each other during the photo shoot.
Ayesha and Sydel Curry launched their wine brand, Domaine Curry, in 2018. Since its launch, the wine company hadn't tasted real success in the market. However, it was only after half a decade that the brand finally found its legitimate buyer.
Domaine Curry wine was acquired by Constellations Brands, one of the largest wine companies in the U.S. Two women have taken a leap when it comes to the professional success of women in the Curry family. Ayesha and Sydel are here to challenge the narrative and make a name for themselves.
Steph Curry's wife Ayesha and sister Sydel want to break barriers in wine industry
The largest part of the wine industry is dominated by men when it comes to ownership. However, when it comes to consumption, the gap between men and women is not that big. The idea behind getting into the wine business for Ayesha and Sydel was somewhat based on this idea.
In conversation with Essence, Sydel explained why they decided to pursue their goal.
“The truth of the matter is that the wine industry is predominantly white-male-driven,” Sydel said. “It was pretty daunting going in. But we quickly realized we’re smart, we’re strong, we’ve got it, we know what we like, we know what tastes great, we know what works.”
Sydel also said that her family has been known for famous males. Her husband is Damion Lee, an NBA player for the Phoenix Suns. Her brother Steph Curry and father Dell Curry are also big names in the NBA. However, she wanted to help build the legacy of women in the family.
“We worked on this for a very long time—this is really an ode to the powerful women in our lives," she added. We also wanted to do this because our family is well-known for the men, we aimed to have something that was a legacy-maker for the women that we could pass down to our daughters, our nieces.”
Steph Curry's involvement in Domaine Curry wine has been minimal. He has sometimes been seen promoting the brand with his wife.
