In Photos: Trae Young welcomes pet cat 'Cali' to his family at his $20 million LA mansion

Atlanta Hawks superstar Trae Young has welcomed a new furry family member to his luxurious Los Angeles house. The All-Star point guard, known for his dazzling on-court performances, recently opened his $20 million (per ClutchPoints) mansion's doors to a tiny, four-legged cat named "Cali." Fans have already fallen for the adorable cat, and photos of them together went viral on social media.

On Wednesday, the three-time NBA All-Star, Trae Young, shared adorable photos on X, formerly known as Twitter. The pictures show him enjoying quality time with his new kitten at his home. It's a heartwarming look at the NBA star's softer side.

"Cali😻 Welcome to the fam!" Young captioned the post.

Young's new addition, Cali, arrives as the NBA offseason is in full swing. Even though the hardwood is silent for the time being, it appears that the Hawks' starting point guard made good use of his spare time: living in luxury and receiving endless love from a new furry friend.

Trae Young trade rumors: Zach Lowe suggests Hawks may face inevitable decision on star guard

Atlanta Hawks fans are bracing themselves for a potential storm after ESPN's Zach Lowe raised questions about the team's long-term plans with star point guard Trae Young.

In an ESPN article, Lowe analyzed the Hawks' offseason moves, including the acquisition of the No. 1 overall pick Zaccharie Risacher and the subsequent trade of Dejounte Murray to the New Orleans Pelicans. While acknowledging the team's strategic approach, Lowe pointed out that Atlanta now occupies a precarious middle ground in the Eastern Conference.

"With Trae Young still on board, the Hawks can develop their youth while treading water around .500," Lowe wrote. "Getting their picks back by trading Young to San Antonio would have made for a clean teardown ahead of the 2025 and 2026 drafts. The Spurs' and Lakers' interest in Young has cooled in recent months, sources said, but such doors never close shut."

Lowe believes that if the Atlanta Hawks don't improve significantly in the offseason, they may have to make a tough decision about Young's future. Even though the Hawks have tried to build a strong team around him, there are still questions about how well they can compete.
